1. Attitude

Quantum physics has shown that simply having the intention to measure subatomic particles will affect them, without even actually doing anything.  This principle is true in your life as well.  Know that every thought that you have elicits a response from your environment.  If you have an attitude that anything is possible you will get a very different result in your life than if you believe there is no solution.  Choose an attitude of love, curiosity and gratitude.  Having the right attitude can not only fight illnesses, but prevent them too.

2. Purpose

Studies show that having a sense of purpose in your life can protect you against poor health and give you the benefit of better physical functioning.  Honor what is in your heart.  Why are you here?  How much courage does it take to choose to do what is meaningful for you?  Courage is not the absence of fear, but deciding to act in spite of that fear.  Don’t wait to start living your life purpose.  For every day you do not take action, someone is missing the unique contribution that you have to offer.  You can make a critical difference in others lives.

3. Nutrition

Eat whole, real, fresh foods.  Absolutely avoid processed foods, artificial sweeteners, and chemical additives.  Eat organic vegetables and fruits.  Eat foods rich in vitamins A, D, E and K2.  These foods include egg yolks, shellfish, liver and animal fats from pasture raised animals (such a butter!).  Always choose meats from pasture raised animals.  Do not eat farmed fish.

4. Exercise

Exercise is one of the most important things you can do to improve your health.  Exercise can lower your blood pressure, improve your immune system, help you sleep, fight depression, lower your risk of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, build strong bones, relieve chronic pain, improve your memory, boost your IQ, and increase your energy levels.  Move your body in whatever way you are able.  Studies show that even imagining yourself exercising has benefits.

5. Quality sleep

Getting enough sleep to allow regeneration and restoration is critical to health.  Most people need between 7 and 10 hours of sleep every night.  Your best sleep for restoration is between 10pm and 1am, so make sure you are not squandering this valuable sleep time.  Lack of sleep over time can contribute to diabetes, weight gain, high blood pressure, depression, cancer, heart disease, poor memory and immune suppression.

6. Water

You can only survive about 3 days without water.  Drinking pure, uncontaminated water is critically important.  Make sure that the water you drink is free of chlorine, fluoride, chemicals from industry and agriculture, and does not have pathogenic organisms.  Avoid plastic bottled water, as chemicals from the plastic leach into your water.  Test your tap water, and if contaminated, install a filter.

7. Light

Sunlight exposure is critically important to your health.  It will boost your vitamin D levels and your immune system.  The amount of exposure that you need depends on where you live, the time of year, the color of your skin, and how much surface area of the body is exposed.  Do not get sunburned.  This is what causes damage to the skin that can lead to certain kinds of cancer.  Sun exposure actually lowers the risk of most kinds of cancer.

8. Avoid environmental toxins

It is estimated that most Americans have from 400 to 800 chemicals stored in their bodies, typically in fat cells.  These toxins can cause cancer, neurologic diseases, hormone imbalances, fatigue, headaches, obesity, immune suppression and much more.  Do not expose yourself to new carpet, paint, plastics, most new furniture, many personal care products, most cleaning products and many other modern inventions.  Go out of your way to find less toxic alternatives to the most common exposures that you have control over.

9. Minimize electromagnetic field exposures (EMF)

Do not use a cell phone for more than a few minutes next to your ear.  Use your phone only in places where the reception is good (full bars).  Even the Bluetooth devices are not safe.  Cordless phones in your home can also be dangerous, and they emit a signal even when no call is being placed.  Do not live under high power lines.  Remove all electric devices from your bedroom.  EMF exposure can damage brain cells, lead to cancer, ringing in the ears, migraines, insomnia, heart arrhythmias, concentration and hyperactivity problems, neurologic diseases and even back pain.

10.  Avoid prescription and over-the-counter drugs

Do not take anything that is not absolutely necessary.  If a medication is necessary, find alternatives and stop it as soon as possible with the guidance of a knowledge practitioner.  Study the possible side effects, and note that many drug interactions are unknown.  Medical errors and prescription drugs when combined may actually be the leading cause of death.
